Installing Kali Linux on Boxes

Hi,
I am using Fedora 18. I wanted to install Kali Linux using the Boxes virtual machine. When I get to the installation section, I have to choose whether to install using the entire hard drive. If I choose this option, am I correct in assuming that it is the VIRTUAL hard drive that will be used for installation, and not the physical one? I don't want to mess up and lose Fedora!

Thanks,

Tim

that would be this "boxes"
https://live.gnome.org/Boxes/

that accesses already installed VM install

if you are trying to install kali into that
you will wipe out your fedora install

if you have the 8 to 12 gig needed space why bother using a vm
dual boot
kali only needs 8 gig min 12 to 16 is good

Thanks John :-) I had thought of installing it on my hard drive. However, I have Fedora 18 installed to dual boot with my Windows 7. Fedora is managing my / /home and swap with a logical volume manager. For the life of me, I can't work out how to reduce it's size and add more partitions to the hard drive using Gparted.

Does anyone know how to use Gparted to add extra partitions to a hard drive which is being managed by a logical volume manager (lvm) ?

thanks
