in the k3b download page i found the following info:

K3b Fedora Core and Red Hat Packages
Mihai Maties put together some K3b 0.11.24 Fedora Core 3, Fedora Core 2, Fedora Core 1 and Red Hat 9 packages (he also has cvs builds). These rpms are also available via two yum & apt repositories so we recommend you to use them instead of direct downloading the packages. To learn how to configure your system to use yum or apt for easy updating and resolving dependencies please check: Yum home page, Yum HOWTO, Apt home page, Apt HOWTO.

Fedora Core 3 users should add the following lines to the configuration files:

    * yum - /etc/yum.conf

name=Fedora Core 3 ( xcyborg / stable )

name=Fedora Core 3 ( xcyborg / bleeding )

    * apt - /etc/apt/sources.list

rpm i386 stable bleeding
rpm-src i386 stable bleeding

rpm i686 stable bleeding
rpm-src i686 stable bleeding

rpm athlon stable bleeding
rpm-src athlon stable bleeding

      depending on the architecture.
hope that helps some.
