Installing java runtime env problem

I downloaded the j2re bin file an when I execute it from the terminal, I get "Permission denied"
I changed the persmissions properly as well as I worked as root. Still I am unable to install
what do I do?

Are you sure that you hav executable permissions on the bin file? You also have to be root to install it.

I guess U did not read my post totally, I have all the permissions and I am working as root, but still theres a problem, what do I do?
