Installing Java, RPM's.....uh, help?

So Uh, Im playing with linux, mandrake....and I need java installed...

so I goto Sun's website, and download their java RPM

They give instructions on how to install....however, Im a tard, and can't figure this out...

for example... it says

"2. Run the installation script and agree to the license it displays.

Launch the installation script by using the following commands from the directory in which it is located:

chmod a+x j2re-1_4_2_<version number>-linux-i586-rpm.bin

./j2re-1_4_2_<version number>-linux-i586-rpm.bin The script displays a binary license agreement, which you are asked to agree to before installation can proceed. Once you have agreed to the license, the install script creates the file j2re-1_4_2_<version number>-linux-i586.rpm in the current directory."

Now, The file is in /home/elipsn

how the fuck do I run the installation script? It says "Use the following commands" where do I type those? the terminal, the console?

Sorry to ask such a simple question to all the linux gods out there, but ehh, i suppose I gotta start somewhere....

help?

in a terminal:

type: chmod a+x j2re-1_4_2_<version number>-linux-i586-rpm.bin (switching <version number> for the version you downloaded

type: ./j2re-1_4_2_<version number>-linux-i586-rpm.bin

Follow the instructions.
