installing gst-base-plugins


i tried to install gst-base-plugins.tar.bz2 package

however when i did ./configure i got an error that liboil-0.3.8 or higher needed.

idownloaded liboil-0.3.10 and installed it without any hitch

however when i went back to install gst-base-plugin i got the same error msg

im installing all packages in /root dir

any suggestions pl

Did you install liboil from a prebuilt package? If so, then install liboil-devel and hopefully that will resolve the problem.
