Installing Gnome-Swallow - How to add it to my list of applets?
Ok, I am really getting fed up. I decided to switch over to Gnome on my desktop for a little flare (I normally use Fluxbox), but it's user-friendliness is getting to me.. I can't, for the life of me, find a way to add swallow to the list of apps (as in gnome dockapps) so I can add it to a panel! The swallow readme just assumes it's added automatically, but it isn't in my case.
I'm running Slack 10 with whatever version of Gnome comes with it..
I like some of gnome's features, but this is really getting to me - If I could just edit a rc file or something I would be happy, but I can't find one.
theres a folder somewhere, perhaps hidden, where there are files for each thing in the applications menu (the start menu type affair). if you can find them, try editing one of the current ones to change it to swallow. if you mean the quick start type thing, just drag-and-drop an icon there.
