Installing from harddisk
How do i create a IS0 image of RH 7.1 in my hard disk. i have a faulty CD drive.
I copied all the files from my RH 7.1 CD to my hard disk(C:\linux) . But during Install it says that the Redhat images are not found. Is there any other method of installation |
if it's only the *.img for making boot/rescue floppies, then just install and do "mkbootdisk" when in Linux.
Else you possibly didn't copy all the files from the cd to the hd. Other install methods for example ftp (I think it also does nfs? not sure), just supply a valid address & path, you can also use wget (on linux and windoze) to mirror the whole Red Hat ftp distro to ure hd. |
