Installing Evidence for Enlightenment

I'm new to Enlightenment and I figured it would be cool if I could install Evidence. As I try to install, I get an error that says that I'm missing libjpeg.la :

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libjpeg.la'
make[3]: *** [evidence] Error 1
make[3]: Leaving directory `/home/digilect/src/evidence/src'
make[2]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[2]: Leaving directory `/home/digilect/src/evidence/src'
make[1]: *** [all-recursive] Error 1
make[1]: Leaving directory `/home/digilect/src/evidence'
make: *** [all] Error 2

Does anyone know what I need to do or get in order for this to work?

Apparently, libjpeg isn't installed (or is located in a different place than the prog expects it to be) and that program needs it.

Isn't that mentioned in the INSTALL or README file?
