Installing/Configuring Java/Shockwave rpm packages in mandrake. Link to Mozilla

I'm having a hell of a time installing these packages. There are not self-extracting, and require the command prompt. I'm still pretty new to linux, so please be gentle. If anyone can help I'd really appreciate it!

May be, you could go through this page, and read a little bit. RPM may not required for Shockwave, and linking the flash player can be found on this page.

Configuring java, is all at http://java.sun.com

You just need to spend a little more time, understanding the installation instructions. It isn't difficult, only consumes a little more time than you can spend
