Hi, I'm trying to install bluefish on my redhat linux 9 sys. But when i click on the rpm it doesnt do anything. what could be wrong? this is the filename i have.. bluefish-0.11-1.src.rpm and i also tryed bluefish-0.11-1.fr.i386.rpm

The source rpm will create an rpm when you run it. Browse to this rpm in a terminal and (as root (using su)) type rpm -ivh bluefish-<the rest of the package name>.rpm
|
when i do that i get..
when i do that i get...
warning: user endur does not exist - using root warning: group endur does not exist - using root warning: user endur does not exist - using root warning: group endur does not exist - using root 1:bluefish ########################################### [100%] |
What is endur? When I use su I become root. But it seems to have installed - type bluefish and hit enter.

It's someones compiled binary which has been modified to not need su access to install... but it worked... you can also use this apt repo to get bluefish and other goodies:
