Before you spend too much time on F12 be aware that it is at EOL(end of life) and there will be no further updates for it of any kind. Fedora only supports the two most current releases, currently F13 and F14. Effectively this means that one has to do a fresh install once a year(to run Fedora effectively).

Whenever you ask a problem please help us help you by doing a few things. What distro, version, and arch are you running? F12 32bit or 64bit? Tell us specifically what issue you are having. What is the serious issue with flash? Wireless printer?

As far as loging in as root user, Fedora no longer allows this(in gui). Login as a normal user, open a terminal, and su - (su space dash) into root. You can do anything that way that you can by logging into root directly and it is much more secure.

Wireless printer on fedora 13

Thanks so much for the kind advice.
I have yielded to it and now have fedora 13 on a 64 bit machine.

I have also solved the problem of adeobe flash player by down loading a package called easy life.

My only lingering trouble now is how to install my wireless printer to my machine.

I have a dell inspiron 1525, and would love to install my wirless lexmark 6600 series printer on it.

Any suggestions?

Thanks Panam

That would be a "new" problem which would be unrelated to the problem of this thread. It would be best to start a new thread for any new problems. Of course one whould search LQ first to make certain someone else has not already faced the isssue.
