./configure
make
make install

there's never a make file, just a makefile.am and a makefile

make is a developer tool that should already be installed on your machine (probably in /bin or /usr/bin) If you type whereis make it will tell you. The Makefile file gets read by make and that is how it knows what to do.

Try renaming the makefile as Makefile and see how you get on. Also, if you notice an executable script called autogen.sh, try running that before ./configure. Many programmes use this for the cvs version (developers versions, rather than stable releases).

when i give in: "make", he says
make: *** Keine Targets angegeben und keine ğmakeĞ-Steuerdatei gefunden. Schluss. (german)
that means:
make: *** no targets given in and no makefile found. end.

i'm going crazy

If it says that there is no Makefile, did you get any errors when you did the ./configure?

yes, he says:
checking for wx-config... no
configure: error:
Please check that wx-config is in path, the directory
where wxWindows libraries are installed (returned by
'wx-config --libs' command) is in LD_LIBRARY_PATH or
equivalent variable and wxWindows is version 2.4.0 or above.
Or this might also be a bug in our configure. Please try again
with --with-wx-config=/usr/bin/wx-config
(replace /usr/bin/wx-config with a valid path to your wx-config)
