I've installed America's Army 2.10 for Linux. Here's how to install:
As root, cd into the directory containing the file armyops210-linux.bin
1. Run the installation program "./armyops210-linux.bin"
if you get the message permission denied, you need to give execute permission to the file:
"chmod +x armyops*.bin"
2. Follow the setup instructions. (I suggest you install the game in /opt/armyops)
3. After the install, goto whereever you installed the game and run armyops "./armyops"
To play online, you need to update punk buster (the version of punk buster that comes with the game is outdated - you'll be kicked from most games if you don't update). Download pbweb.x86 to <army opsdir>/System/pb and run it
my number lock. scroll lock and caps light dont blibk when i hit them plus ive waited for up to 10 minutes. im redownloading the file now. for future help, is there something equal to "ctrl+alt+del" like in windows i can do when that happens?
I installed it on Mandrake 10.0. It aborted on an error the first time, saying it could not create a directory that existed. I deleted the directory, and ran the installer again successfully.
