installing
 

Apperantly to install kopete I need to install ------libz1-dev-------
I'm running red hat 9. Anybody know how can I install this package or better get any ideas on how to install kopete... This is what I'm doing
I extracted the kopete-0.7.2.tar.bz2 to my local home and then I ru the terminal and type
./configure
./make

but when i do the make I get the following error

/usr/bin/ld: cannot find -lart_lgpl_2

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Install libz1-dev first, then install kopete.

Perhaps it's available through apt-get, see apt4rpm link below.
