Well if you actually told us in detail of the actual problem your having, it might help us determine your problem. Example: error messages when trying to install RPM's?
Have you tried to install from the CLI instead of using some GUI interface?

well if you are missing something a screen pops up and tells you what it is missing....if its not a package perse and rather its a file, then go to rpmfind.net and type in that file name and the search results will show you the package that contains that file...which in turn will be the package you must download and install before continuing with the package that depends on it.

Hi!!!
Using RedHat 9.0............you would like to give apt-get a shot........you can download it here:
http://apt.freshrpms.net/
And get the optmized version to your redhat...............9.0 in the case...........doing that, type at the console:
apt-get install synaptic
You can start synaptic running..........synaptic thru console..............................Synaptic will install or remove any program for you and check for dependencies...........it's very good.......read also everything here:
http://freshrpms.net/
To avoid future............problems.........

You can also try using Red Carpet. It has a very nice GUI.
