Installing

i have
mythtv-0.17.tar.tar

itll open with winzip
so how do i go about instaling this
its all kind of strange

.tar to ---------------------- -------------------- --------------- to os
anyone know how to install

Winzip? Are you opening this in Windows?

tar -xzvf <filename>.tar.gz

man tar for more details..

And it has twice the .tar extention? Maybe .tar.gz or .tar.bz2?
