installimng mySql 5

i tried to uppgrade mySql on fedora 2 from mySql 3.2.3 to mySql 5
but after i have run and install the rpm file
i still get
mysql --version -> 3.2.3
why is that?what todo?

Did you stop and restart mysql after upgrading? If not, its usually best to stop mysql before upgrading it.
