I am attempting to install Real VNC of the Extreme Host server but am havig dependancy issues, it needs xauth, so i find xauth...for i686, but i get this error

Quote:
root@select200 [~]# rpm -Uvh xauth-4.2.1-8.i686.rpm
warning: xauth-4.2.1-8.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e01260f1
error: Failed dependencies:
XFree86-libs = 4.2.1 is needed by xauth-4.2.1-8
now i don't know what that warning means but when i go to installl XFree86-libs4.2.1

Quote:
root@select200 [~]# rpm -Uvh XFree86-libs-4.2.1-8.i686.rpm
warning: XFree86-libs-4.2.1-8.i686.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID e01260f1
error: Failed dependencies:
XFree86-common = 4.2.1 is needed by XFree86-libs-4.2.1-8
XFree86-libs <= 4.2.99.2-0.20021105.0 conflicts with XFree86-libs-data-4
.3.0-78.EL
XFree86-libs = 4.3.0-78.EL is needed by (installed) XFree86-devel-4.3.0-

you could compile it if you don't find any rpm(without dependencies problems). You could also install apt or yum but i don't know if there are any rpm repositories for redhat entreprise except those provided by redhat.

ok i a new to linux, i've only used windows before...how would i goabout compiling it though ssh? or actually i found this, but wich one of these do i want:

# The binary rpm files for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3
# The source rpm files for Red Hat Enterprise Linux 3

hmm perhaps you might just tell me how to compile it so i don't have to worry about dependancy problems...
