Installer Package Manager

Hi,

To explain, I have a remote server which installs an OS via an image, however it is very, very minimal (thats ok). What I do next is follow a rpmforge howto for a perfect server, yet they select certain default package sets at install time, which I can't do.

What i'm wanting to know is how can I get a (or which program) console program which allows me to say select the server package and then customise with certain other features?

I have been throught the setup twice now on the remote server and at the finish (even though all has gone well), when it comes to ispconfig running it spews annoyances (not actual errors) and it won't run. Yet twice i've followed the exact same steps on a local machine without hitch.

Thanks...

P.S. Sorry, the distro is CentOS 5.2

Kickstart would seem to be what you are after.

Cheers Xavier, i've just had a play at invoking kstart (?) (kickstart) but no joy and I didn't have a man page entry for it, i'll look it up later.

The GUI equivalent would be 'system-config-packages'.

Either which way I got it all up and running after some wangling, so current need subsided for now.

Many Thanks...
