Installed new motherboard & cpu - No boot
Hi!
I changed my motherboard and CPU, from a Intel celeron to a Intel Pentium 3, and now it won't boot up. I have a Fedora core (2.4.22-1.2140), and I get to the GRUB screen, where i can select the old or the new core. I have tried to update Fedora, by running the installer, and selecting update, but that didn't help much.. Any ideas on how to get around this problem? Or do I have to install Fedora again? :newbie: :Pengy: |
you've changed major hardware. I dunno much about Fedora core since I am still running the 2.4.8 Kernel. So your best shot would be to put your old h/w back and boot the system, then enable kudzu at startup. Put in the new h/w and reboot. Kudzu should automatically detect the changed/added/removed h/w and install/configure it as required.
