installed Linux Mint 17.1 Mate on a new Acer Aspire from a DVD I got from osDisk.com
Rebecca seems very unstable to me. I'm wondering if I got a bad disk. I ordered it from osDisc.com. I have tried to install virtual Box. Am told it's a damaged file. When I put it on a flash drive and tried to install in on my old Dell (the network card died in it) it tries to install but can't because it can't go online. I've tried to back up Rebecca 3 times. Get a different file count every time and it always hangs up on the file 'proc/kmsp'. I've tried to install vmware from package manager. All kinds of problems.
Any suggestions? |
I remember running into a similar problem 4 years ago with Linux Mint 11 Katya. The problem was a corrupted iso download. You might be better off just downloading the iso and see if that works. If it does, then just return the disk you bought.
