Installation Procedure?
 

Hi guys i am new to linux stuff.Will any one of u guide me to how to install a softwares that is intar.gz format.When i extract the files in it there are a lot of them and i don't know the commands to compile or mak executables out of them.

acid is right. Often times in linux you will need to do some reading and figuring on your own. Untarring/gunnzipping a file is a pretty basic procedure that you will find loads about all over the net. You will, in time, learn that finding out some info is pretty easy. Always start with www.google.com/linux and your man pages. Then when you get stuck post here and people will come out of te woodwork to help you out. Good luck!
