Do you have autoconf? It is from the package with the same name. If you do not,
then install it and retry configuration and building.

Hi. I have the same problem as vishalvkapoor. I'm trying to install licq on Slackware 12. This is what I'm supposed to do according to the installation guide:
1. Unpack the package
2. ./configure --prefix=/path/where/to/install
3. make && make install
4. cd plugins/qt-gui
5. make -f Makefile.cvs
6. ./configure --prefix=/path/where/to/install
7. make && make install

At step 5, I get the following:
/usr/share/aclocal/nspr.m4:8: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_NSPR
run info '(automake)Extending aclocal'
or see http://sources.redhat.com/automake/a...ending-aclocal
/usr/share/aclocal/imlib.m4:9: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_IMLIB
/usr/share/aclocal/imlib.m4:167: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_GDK_IMLIB
/usr/share/aclocal/audiofile.m4:12: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_AUDIOFILE
/usr/share/aclocal/aalib.m4:12: warning: underquoted definition of AM_PATH_AALIB
autom4te: need GNU m4 1.4 or later: /usr/bin/m4
aclocal: autom4te failed with exit status: 1
make: *** [all] Error 1

AFAIUI, this has to do with autoconf. I downloaded the automake-1.9.6-noarch-1 and autoconf-2.61-noarch-1 packages and installed them with pkgtool. Still no go. Can anybody help me out?
