Installation problem with XSnow

Information: I run Fedora 7, Gnome environment.

I decided to have a cool Christmas desktop, so I downloaded the "X-Snow" rpm. It went through the software installer and said it was complete. All was merry and bright except it didn't show up anywhere in the applications menu.

So naturally my first response was to try to start it from the terminal.
I get this:
[Robyn@localhost ~]$ xsnow
bash: xsnow: command not found

Hmmmm...ok, maybe it's not so installed....Tried again. Nothing.
Tried to use the search function - nothing. Tried to find it in the file system - nothing.

So in desperation I tried yum install and got this:

[root@localhost ~]# yum install xsnow
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Setting up Install Process
Parsing package install arguments
Requested dep: xsnow is provided by installed package
Nothing to do

It acts as if it's installed but it's not showing up anywhere and it won't run even in the terminal.

Any ideas what is going on?

I'd LOVE to spread some Christmas cheer on my desktop!

Does anyone even know if it's possible to work with G-nome? Everything says that it should be.
The software installer shows it as installed.
No idea what's going on...

I did :
Code:
# apt-get install xsnow
Reading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree... Done
The following NEW packages will be installed
  xsnow
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
Need to get 32.3kB of archives.
After unpacking 168kB of additional disk space will be used.
Get: 1 http://ftp.debian.org etch/non-free xsnow 1:1.42-6 [32.3kB]
Fetched 32.3kB in 2s (12.5kB/s)
Selecting previously deselected package xsnow.
(Reading database ... 270282 files and directories currently installed.)
Unpacking xsnow (from .../xsnow_1%3a1.42-6_i386.deb) ...
Setting up xsnow (1.42-6) .
no problem to install it

but :
Code:
$ xsnow
