Installation problem with Xine
 

Hi

I am trying to install Xine on RedHat Linux 9 and I download the file and when I gave configure its telling that zlib required so I downloaded that from redhat and installed using an RPM

When I gave the cmd
rpm -q zlib

its giving the output as - zlib-1.1.4-8

But when I am giving configure its again telling that
configure: error: zlib needed

and its coming out whats the problem and whats the solution for this?

it has cached it's configuration info. From xine source dir do `make distclean` then rerun configure.

if it doesn't work, just install from an rpm, there are redHat compatible rpm's available at the xine website...
