I don't know if this is a good answer...

If you've got the bandwidth, why not just d/l 7.3 or wait 2 weeks and d/l 7.4/8.0?

Is there a particular reason you want 7.1?

Cool

Well, which screen is it? How far into the install are you? Have you successfully used that disc on another install, using all the same packages?

There are many variables, but it might just be a bad image.

Cool

Smile

Now what is happeneing is this --

I Have a RedHat 7.0 installed and now i wanna install 7.1 because of various reasons.

Now during the installation time I reached till screen in which it shows ,

"Loading SCSI driver"
sym53c8xx driver

Here on examination I thought might be driver.img has been corrupted, so I downloaded it from the URL
http://www-jerry.oit.duke.edu/linux/..._floppies.html
and again tried installing using the option linux dd

Again it hangs on the same screen

But at this screen also it gets hang!!

ne ideas!@!

Do you have scsi devices? If not, you can probably disable auto probing, and maybe get passed that by pressing F1 at the first screen of the install.

Cool

Hmmm, Well you still may be able to pick from a list of drivers at least, this might be what's holding you back. I'd say wait 2 weeks til 7.4/8.0 comes out, and d/l and try that.

Cool
