Installation Pine on RH7.2 - pine4.58.tar.gz
 

hi. i have problems. i need to install pine on a remote server. after ./build lrh i recieve an error message. how should i go on? are there any other ways of installing pine? would be nice to hear from someone.... cu

Knowing the error message would help a lot. And make sure you have all the required devel-packages.

the first strange thing comes up at the beginning. i untar the tar ball, moving into the directory "pine4.58" and do not find the bin directory that is mentioned in "readme" - only "contrib", "pine", "pico" etc and the scripts like "build". no !bin!

after finishing the compilation it says that it cant install pico. hmmm.... how would you install it?
