installation of rpm openoffice.org 2.0 beta problem

Dear all,

I have problem installing openoffice.org on my FC2.

When I did rpm -Uvh as follows:
rpm -Uvh *rpm
Preparing... ########################################### [100%]
package openofficeorg-core01-1.9.79-1 is already installed
package openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1 is already installed
package openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1 is already installed

But when I uninstalled it it says:

# rpm -e openofficeorg-core01-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm
error: package openofficeorg-core01-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm is not installed
error: package openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm is not installed
error: package openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1.i586.rpm is not installed

Why saying it has already been installed yet when I tried to uninstall it it says it hasn't been isntalled?

after running rpm -Uvh I should be able to open openoffice suite in the "Office" menu bar, but there is no openoffice suit under Office menu. something wrong with my installation?

Thanks for helping!

BTW, that is a real buggy program. Crashes starting, crashes using, crashes exiting, crashes saving, etc. Crashes everywhere. I have been using 1.1.4 for some time now with no crashes whatsoever. What I don't like about 1.1.4 is the insistence on it to change my font size arbitrarily while typing. Real annoying. 1.1.3 does the same thing.

Hey,

I've installed OO2 beta and haven't come across any crashes yet, I did have to kill X for kmenu to load the openoffice icons (don't know why). Other than the fact that only english US is supported at the mo it's a pretty nice looking version. plus I can finally load my old password protected microsoft files. Wicked!

rpm -e openofficeorg-core01-1.9.79-1.i586 openofficeorg-calc-1.9.79-1.i586 openofficeorg-writer-1.9.79-1.i586
or
rpm -qa |grep openoffice
checking rpm database....

remove rpm dosen't need the tail '.rpm'
