Installation of codec's

I want to use flv and mp4 files on Linux flavour fedora but i could not find the required code cs for that files.Plz help me to find these codecs'

You will need to use a third-party repo that provides "non-free" multimedia packages. Or learn how to compile it yourself.

This inconvenience is one of the major reasons I chose not to go with Fedora. I understand the reasons for the rigid policy w.r.t. non-free stuff, but I prefer convenience...
