Installation Kernel Command Line?

"When doing a fresh install of Fedora Core 5, you can specify that Xen should be installed by adding 'xen0' to your kernel command line."

--How?

What is the kernel command line and how do I add to it during the install?

Well, not familiar with Xen, but your kernel command line is usually in /boot/grub/menu.lst or /etc/lilo.conf, depending on whether you have Grub or Lilo for a boot loader.

It almost sounds, however, that this procedure is performed pre-installation?

No, you can alter your command line and reboot. There are various problems that have solutions involving the command line.

My Grub system has several options including 'splash=silent'.

My Lilo system has 'append="splash=silent"'.
If you have Lilo, you would put in inside the quotes of the append statement.

You can get more info with 'info grub' or 'man lilo'.
