Okay, so i burned the iso to a dvd cd, and when i boot from that cd, the operation runs untill it says the Login thing. it gives me a like a currupted page of the login ( with errors and stuff ) and then the screen goes blue with a bunch of pixels or black. the installation freezes!



I installed with the same disk on a mac. the installation worked.

Whats the problem?? please help.

if you do ALT + F1 - F6 you will see different aspects of the install one of them should have an error message.

i did that, and i got the new screen.

it starts with :

"Unable to find presistant overlay."

"Swtitching to new root"
Then all the tests comes out green with an OK.

it moves me to a black screen with a mouse pointer and a loading icon around the pointer

if i move the mouse rapidly, the mouse freezes and the rotating image stops.

if i leave the mouse where its at, eventually the loading image disapears, and then the mouse disapears.

i get a full black screen with nothing on it.
i hear a noise reduction on my dvd rom.

i have amd X2 5000+ with 2GB ram


PLEASE HELP!
