Install xine on Redhat 9

Ok...Inspiron 8100 and installed xine using the directions listed on this website: [edit it won''t let me post website because I do not have greater then 5 posts] The problem is that I insert a DVD it starts to play, then once the WARNING screen on the DVD goes away xine just closes itself. I played a VCD no problems. I have not tried other DVD's as this problem is something that needs resolved. Any ideas?

I had a problem in playing video formats in RedHat9. I tested Dat files and are not playing in RedHat9. What I have to do for this.

Have you tried running xine-check to test your configuration?

Download and install "mplayer"

I like it much better that XINE.

I find it too resource intensive. Both seem fairly unfinished, though. MPlayer promised support for context menus, but I find that they tend to be nonsensical.
