Install MySQL on RedHat 9.0
 

There is probably an easy answer to my simple question. I am trying to install mysql on a machine running RedHat 9.0 command line. (No Gui).

When running the file mysql-3.23.54a-11.i386.rpm, it fails due to dependency perl-DBD-MySQL not installed.

When trying to install perl-DBD-MySQL-2.1021-3.i386.rpm, it fails due to dependency libmysqlclient.so.10 not installed.

When searching the RedHat website for libmysqlclient.so.10 it gives me the file mysql-3.23.54a-11.i386.rpm.

It seems to me like it is a never ending circle.
I would appreciate any suggestions.
