Install mozilla

I currently have mozilla 0.9.9 running. I wish to upgrade to the latest version of 1.2 mozilla. My mozilla 0.9.9 come with R.H 7.3 with updates from update agent.

how do i go about installing the latest version of mozilla. I read the readme of mozilla 1.2 It recommend me to uninstall the older version of mozilla before installation.

I tried uninstall mozilla 0.9.9 with K package manager, but it crash a couple of times. which one RPM should I uninstall first? mozilla mail? mozilla ? or whatever...?

Try to remove the RPM manually from command line, and if that does not work, you could always try to install the new version as an upgrade using the -U switch.

To uninstall a rpm from a command line type rpm -e filename.rpm remember linux is case sensitive. For upgrading you'll need to read the install instrustions from the Mozilla web site. Follow them exactly!

well...i used K Package Manager to force remove everything that is related to mozilla, by disabling check dependencies. and install mozilla with the version that come with a installer. by default, mozilla install itself to /usr/local/mozilla

I always install Mozilla/office suites on seperate locations. Never had a problem. Just create an icon on the desktop for user.
