Install Cluster Error

Hey, everybody.
I am having trouble installing software. See, I used Ubuntu 6.06's "Add/Remove" program to change some things. Since then, every time I try to install anything, whether as a .deb binary package, through Ubuntu's automatic update service, or from source, I get an error message:
Code:
E: clvm: subprocess post-installation script returned error exit status 3
E: redhat-cluster-suite: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
E: system-config-cluster: dependency problems - leaving unconfigured
(note: the above is from the error dialog presented upon using the automatic update)
I am not sure if this affects the actual functionality of the installation, but something does not seem right. I am not sure what exactly it is, though, and I can not trace any of the arguments from the error messages to any program. Can anyone help me, or provide any information, please?

Thanks in advance!
Diomedes

I hate to resurrect this, but I really need to figure out how to fix the problem. I chiseled it down to just one error (the first line in the above segment) by uninstalling (with the Synaptic Package Manager) the unnecessary packages referred to in the other two lines of the error above. Now I am trying to reinstall or uninstall/install the clvm package. The hard part is that it seems this package is critical in the workings of package management, so when I try to uninstall or reinstall it, the package itself still gives me the error. Does anyone know how I can reinstall the clvm package?

Thank you,
Diomedes
