Inserting Manpages

Hi,
I have developed a software a linux.
I have created a Manpage for this software. This Manpage is the help for the user to use this software.
But somehow I m not able to insert this Manpage.
So, please can anyone give me a detailed solution as to how to insert Manpages in the linux so that it can be viewed by giving the command man software_name?

As far as I know, just put the file in some man dir, e.g. /usr/local/man/man.1/yourcommand.1

Of course, yourcommand.1 must be a nroff document. To check if is looks nice when formmated,
Code:
$ nroff -man /usr/local/man/man.1/yourcommand.1|more
cheers,

To know what path that man find, you just view file /etc/man.config
This is a part of mine
Quote:
.....
# This file is also read by man in order to find how to call nroff, less, etc.,
# and to determine the correspondence between extensions and decompressors.
#
# MANBIN /usr/local/bin/man
#
# Every automatically generated MANPATH includes these fields
#
MANPATH /usr/share/man
MANPATH /usr/man
MANPATH /usr/local/share/man
MANPATH /usr/local/man
MANPATH /usr/X11R6/man
.....
