insall Gaim on a server (remotely)?


hey guys
I want to install Gaim (or yahoo messenger) on a dedicated server hosting that I have.
actualy I have a Yahoo ID that I want it be "Logged in" and "Online" All the time and I want it to have an away message all the time....


is that possible to do with a Linux Dedicated server ?

It should be possible. As long as you can SSH into the server, you can do pretty much anything you want.

What distro is on the server?

If I remember correctly, CentOS uses yum, so just SSH into your server and run yum install gaim.

You can use X forwarding in SSH so that you can use a graphical application remotely. To do this use ssh -X user@host.

somebody told me to install Naim http://naim.n.ml.org/about

which is Console Based AIM ,but not yahoo , I need something simmilar for Yahoo.

is there any console based yahoo messenger?
