init process gets stucked

Hello,
when the init process starts to run, it prints its messages:

INIT: version 2.78 booting
Activating swap...
ChINIT: version 2
Entering runlevel: 3

very-very slowly, and stops to print here. Nothing is happen from this point.

Does anybody has any idea, what can interfere to the init process to run?
And - how to debug the init process (I have bdi2000 + ddd, but it seems to me impossible to debug it)?
