INIT: ld "x" respawning too fast...

hi everybody,
just installed RH 7.2 and got the following error
message when booting:

INIT: ld "x" respawning too fast: disabled for 5 minutes

i have no clue what that error is caused by. would be
great if someone had an idea that could help me out.

I got the same message, its to do with the xserver i think, I run mandrake so probable cant help much., I have seen this posted here before somewhere and the response were very helpfull in my case. try searching the forums for threads dealinng with your problem. Basically from what i understand( and my undrstanding is limited) the xserver cannot find a screen setting that works with the current video card monitor settings

why do people object so vigorously to actaully trying to find out their own answers? type that message into google and you get dozens and dozens of refrerences to it, such as
