init 3 hangs


i want to get out of x, but when i type init 3, it starts a bunch of processes, and hangs after acrond, or something like that. What do i do?

When you say it hangs...you mean?

Keyboard stops working? Does numlock toggle on and off?

If yes...try hitting Alt+F1 or Alt+F2 up to 6 to see if you get a login prompt

Never mind...it worked..now im just working on the ndiswrapper thing,
