Information Manager

am currently using eGroupware address book to manage my clients information(name, company, business type, adress, phone, mail, and many other custom information)

but it's not exactly what i need, i've looked on sf.net and freshmeat with no use.

i need an application(web-based wuold be great) that:
  • Accept multiuser interaction
  • Allow sorting and filtering by certain fields
  • Printing capabilities
  • Ability to add my OWN fields and lists in each records details
  • Search

do you know any free/opensource application that does that?

my question maybe silly, but i've been looking for the past two days with no answer :S

thanks,

How bout a nice CRM package... This one is rather impressive it does POS, ERP, CRM, supply chain management AND it's Open Source.
http://sourceforge.net/projects/compiere/
http://www.compiere.org/

I would go the CRM route ("Customer Relationship Management"). I think it's more along the lines of what you are looking for. CRM applications are geared for businesses to keep track of customers an vendors, track details, calls, etc..

or maybe a nice groupware suite like OpenGroupware.org... Quite abit more simplistic than a CRM but it will give you a shared address book, and shared calendaring etc..

i checked http://www.compiere.org/
and SugarCRM

they seem nice,,, but they are a little bit complicated, and they have too much un-necessary options that will never be used + they dont exactly provide what i need...

all i need is to be able to update/manage/sort/search/print and put notes on my list of clients, and have the ability of using custom fields
anything more simple?

did you look at opengroupware ? it is a lot more basic than the CRM packages.

Think MS Exchange type functionality. Open groupware includes everything EXCEPT a mail server it is not a mail server but can work with your existing email..
