Increase picture thumbnail size in Mint 20.x file manager
I want to increase the picture thumbnail size in Mint 20. When I did a google search it came back with: it's because they are bigger in file size than what is configured as maximum "thumbnailable" size. But that can be changed: In Ubuntu 20.04, In a Nautilus (file manager) window > Hamburger menu button > Preferences > "Search & Preview" tab > Thumbnails section > "Only for files smaller than" and then you can give however large value you want. Does this mean I must install Nautilus in order to increase my thumbnail size? Please advise.
Can anyone offer me some help on the following:
1.) Increase viewing thumbnail size in file manager.
2.) Mounting google drive. I installed ocamlfuse per google instructions, but I still cannot see it in file manager.

You still haven't said what software you want to increase the thumbnail size for, so what do you think we can tell you?? The instructions for doing it in Nautilus are for Nautilus....not for any other program. We can't guess as to what you're using or what you're trying to do.
Your second question about Google Drive is similarly vague...you don't say what file manager, where you're looking, etc.. Complete instructions, with pictures: https://linuxhint.com/mount_google_drive_linux_mint/
After I mount my Google Drive, it works until I restart my system. Running Mint 20.2, Nautilus file manager. I don't know what other information you need, and pictures are not going to help with this as you not going to see my Google Drive mounted. I need to figure out why my Google Drive disappears after restarting. Until then it works fine just as it should.

You can't figure out that when you stop your network and reboot your system, your network-attached drive isn't there? Have you actually done anything to remount it afterwards?
And this is *NOT* what you asked, was it?? You said:

...and now you're saying you *CAN* see it in file manager, but only after you actually mount it. Which is normal, isn't it?? Your actual question is, "How can I automatically mount my Google drive after I reboot?" And one of the first hits in Google for that is: https://ubuntu-mate.community/t/auto...tartup/13143/5
...which tells you that you can put a mount command in a script, and have it auto run by using the autostart program feature. And if you want to increase thumbnail size in Nautilus, putting "how to increase thumbnail size in nautilus file manager" pulls up: https://askubuntu.com/questions/5398...ize%22%20value.
the reason I ask my questions is because I do not see what I may be doing wrong in the google instruction links that I have searched or you may have provided. that is what this forum is about, getting help for a problem. although you seem to imply that I am not doing my research first and you would be wrong. if I do not provide enough information, then I do not know what other information is needed. if you are interest in helping me, then that is what you should do instead of being rude and nasty to me every time you respond. I do not like or appreciate your attitude toward me!

Then why don't you say, "I followed this <PUT A LINK>, and I still can't make it work? I'm stuck <HERE>"??? When you don't say anything that you've done/tried/researched, what else are we supposed to think??
You were asked for information several times; didn't provide it. Took until post #6 before you said you wanted to increase the size of Nautilus thumbnails, which was asked in post #2. Again, putting a simple search term into Google for how to increase Nautilus thumbnail size brings up a LOT...which would seem to indicate you didn't do any research.
You then say you "cannot see" your Google drive in file manager; you THEN follow up with the fact you CAN see it just fine, until you unmount it when you reboot. So the question there isn't about 'seeing' your Google Drive, but how to mount it automatically after a reboot. Again; a brief search turns up lots.
