Unhappy incoming email not getting to mailbox

I am running RH9 and postfix. I can send mail out to outside email addresses. Outside systems can send in to my system and I can watch it show up and get qued by using ethreal. But then after it gets qued, it dissappears. I can not find it on the system anywhere. What am I missing?

thanks for any input
