Hello....
I am presently using a lenovo y410 laptop with dual boot system ..
I am interested in configuring my inbuilt webcam ...
I am newbie to linux....Can anybody help me..

Assuming that the y410 is like the T61 webcam, then http://en.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Install...Pad_T61#Webcam indicates that it is a UVC webcam.

So your best bet is to try to install the Linux UVC drivers and see if that does the trick: http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/

If that does not work for you, then hopefully someone who knows something about the y410 can give a better idea then I can. Also, I can't give very detailed instructions, as you have not posted your distribution.
