In KDE 5, do you still have to use the command line or a text editor to change icons?

In KDE 4 when you use kmenuedit to change an application's icon, the icon path is not shown in the editor and sometimes when you click to change an icon certain ones are not shown in the icon browser. You then have to navigate to the .desktop file that references the icon to actually retrieve the file name.

This is strange because kmenuedit can clearly find the icon and can even show it to you but when you click on the icon to change it the icon is no where to be found. This behavior is universal on certain applications with all systems and KDE 4 versions I have tried.

This old thread on the KDE forum describes the problem also.

That is positively stone age. I'm pretty sure Windows 95 let you change icons by right clicking on them. Has work been done to kmenuedit in this area?

try Systems Settings>Appearance> "Select New Themes" button at lower right corner for more theme packs.
