Impossible to make Rosegarden work with a via integrated soundcard

Can anyone guide me through an instant messenger or recommend me a program which doesn't use JACK or ALSA or whatever is making me impossible to make a d**n sound with this program? I'm using SUSE 9.2, I have fluidsynth installed (or at least this is what I believe) without qsynth (which I couldn't compile nor find a suitable rpm file), I have JACK with the ability to be run when it is needed and I have a SoundFont linked to Rosegarden.

Well, for one, IM is a really bad idea for these forums. Second, what is your actual problem? If it is the lack of a hard synth, timidity sever interface might work better than fluidsynth. More than likely, you are using ALSA and that is hardware level.
