Importing mail from Evolution to Thunderbird

I need some help with this. I am at someone elses house and I just installed Thunderbird on their computer. I thought it would be simple to import mail from Evolution to Thunderbird. It has an import option. But it is not letting me do it. It gives me no options. How do I import mail from Evolution to Thunderbird? Also I need to get the address book switched over.

I'm having the same problem. I've imported my contacts from win to Thunderbird saving them in .cvs format. However If you go to address book under Thunderbird and look for import there are other formats that could be imported.

nice article....pity it doesn't seem to help me...

the problems is there appears to be an utter lack of mbox files in the format expexted in my .evolution folder, having poked around for a while i remain utterly confused...

I'm using evolution2.2 and if i do a locate mbox |grep home (after an updatedb) i get:

so what would i do with these files? if they are indeed the right files?

I likethunderbird, and i use it, but if i want ot check an old mail i currently need to open up evolution.... i'd like to make it so i can remove evolution

any help?
