immediate assistance about which and from where freeware is to be downloaded - please
Hi
I am new to linux and new to this forum, but my question may be common and perhaps trivial to you.
Will you please tell me which linux freeware is appropriate for me and from where do I download it?
I primarily work with
1> OFFICE: word, powerpoint, frontpage.
This I require URGENTLY.
2> I use image viewing. I work with photoshop.
3> Music. Video accessibility is the third use.
Is there any freeware which doesn't need to be downloaded in the hard disk and yet can enable me to learn and work as a beginner?
Kindly let me know how and where to look for answers to this question.
Can I get quick online support for installation and its use?
Most distros include these packages as standard features, so no additional downloading is necessary. Good luck with it. Lastly, please note that LQ is a 100% volunteer effort, and if you have a truly "urgent" need, you should consider contacting a reputable professional consulting firm.
