imaging software

I'm new to linux i have suse 9.3 which is my favorite after trying most of the other's ,i would like to remove windows xp from my computer but the only reason i still have windows is because Gimp is just to hard for me to use i like to use a simple imaging software that does basic editing and printing is their such a software for linux? i searched google with no luck.

Basic editing as in sort of paint? The desktop environments often have a program that does it. I don't know how it's called in gnome but there are programs like kpaint or so that are sort of equicalent to paint. Check your menu cause it might already be included in your distro.

no, the problem i'm having with gimp is like if i want to print a 4x6 photo i set the paper size to 4x6 but it prints out with a wide space at each side of photo if i could get that figured out than i wouldn't mind using gimp so much.
