Many images do not appear in the browser - not sure if they are .gifs. .jpegs, etc ?
Is there a package I need to install?

How would I go about fixing this?

Is this for a certain site or is this for all sites.

In preferences>content, do you have "load images for originating site only" checked? Many sites, especially commercial ones, host some of their content on external servers, which firefox won't load if this is checked.

Also, the same thing will happen if you use the default content menu "block images" function. Firefox will then block all images from the site the first one is hosted on.
